VAG 5C & 5D All Keys Lost: New Solution for Brisbane VAG Owners
March 27, 2026
For owners of Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Skoda vehicles equipped with 5C or 5D immobilizer systems, there is now an innovative solution for situations where all remote or proximity keys have been lost or stolen. Recent advancements in key programming technology enable technicians to generate new keys even if none of the original keys remain, marking a significant step forward in addressing lost key scenarios.
This blog covers essential information on model compatibility, the step-by-step process, and how our service outperforms traditional dealer solutions. Read on to discover how you can get back on the road quickly, securely, and without unnecessary delays.
Overview
Following our previous post, “5C VAG Additional Remote & Proximity Keys,” we are excited to announce that we can now program keys for VAG vehicles fitted with 5C and 5D immobilizer systems—even in situations where all keys are lost. Previously, generating an additional key required at least one working key. Now, thanks to the latest software, we can create new keys for all VAG vehicles with 5C or 5D systems, including Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Skoda, up to current models. This breakthrough offers a convenient, efficient solution for car owners facing lost key emergencies.
Model Coverage
Most VAG models starting from 2017, and some as early as 2015, are equipped with either 5C or 5D immobiliser systems. Our service covers all models right up to the latest releases. If your Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, or Skoda falls within these years, and has a 5C or 5D immobilser system, we can help you regain access and security—even if every key is missing. Unfortunately models with the MLB immobiliser system are not covered in this new technology update.
Process
Wondering how our lost key solution works? Typically, the job is completed over two appointments. The first visit involves unlocking your vehicle (if necessary), decoding the physical key barrel (door and ignition, if applicable) to cut the emergency key blade, and gathering essential data from your car’s computers. After 1-2 business days, we return for the second appointment to program your new keys onsite and hand them over. This streamlined process ensures minimal downtime and maximum convenience.
Dealer Solution
Traditionally, sourcing new keys through a dealer in Australia meant waiting 4-8 weeks for parts from Germany or Singapore, plus towing your vehicle and booking a service appointment. This slow, frustrating experience is now a thing of the past. Our local, expert service eliminates unnecessary delays and gets you back behind the wheel faster—no need to wait for overseas parts or extended dealership queues.
Stolen Keys
If your keys have been stolen, it’s vital to act quickly to protect your vehicle. Our advanced key programming allows us to erase lost or stolen keys from your car’s system and supply new, secure replacements. This ensures your vehicle remains safe and your peace of mind is restored.
