Northside Car Keys are proud to announce that we have now been accredited as an officially licensed Volvo Workshop. This allows us to safely perform key programming in an identical manner to Volvo themselves, with the added benefit of offering both genuine and aftermarket key options.
Volvo Car Key creation just got smoother
Until now we have been in the same boat with our competition. With no access to genuine programming equipment we were forced to have to manually remove
modules from the vehicle and perform complex soldering procedures on the bench (sometimes even in spare key scenarios, not just all keys missing). Although this
meant that we could be a step in front of Volvo (time-wise) it also was a very time-consuming and potentially risky process where permanent damage could easily be
done to Control Modules in the vehicle. No longer do we need to unnecessarily remove modules from the vehicle for key programming. We can now connect to the Volvo server and diagnostically perform key programming procedures – allowing us to complete jobs for customers in much shorter time than our competition virtually risk-free. No need to dismantle the dash and ECU within the car.

Which Volvo Models & Years-of-Manufacture are Covered?
As this is the genuine dealer diagnostic tool it will apply to all Volvo models fitted with a factory immobiliser (Approx 1999-current).
Most notably helpful for newer models (2018+) operating with the latest style of Volvo Proximity Keys (see photo below). A process (even for a spare key) which would
take several hours to remove the vehicles CEM module and involve soldering (potentially risky) to then program the key with non-genuine equipment (this is what
our competitors will continue to do should you ask for a quote). We are now able to perform this procedure in our workshop in Herston in approx 1 hour using the diagnostic tool (no component removal necessary) lower than the dealer price.
What We can do Differently
We keep keys in stock here in Brisbane
One difference between us and the dealer is that we almost always have the parts in stock – both genuine & aftermarket options – and can perform key programming on-site in Brisbane on the same day or next day. This service is also available at our Herston workshop (nearby the RBWH).
Don’t wait weeks for parts & a service booking
The dealership will require you to make a service booking (sometimes 1-2 week wait) & depending on part availability (sometimes from overseas) you may be waiting a long time.
No towing required
Not to mention if your keys have been lost/stolen you will need to have the vehicle towed in to the dealership (more time and money). We offer a mobile service in Brisbane and can do the job on-site to reduce cost and risk of vehicle damage being transported.
Key been Stolen?
We are able to delete missing keys from the immobiliser memory and can also rekey physical door locks/ignition (if fitted) to restrict access to the vehicle with manual keys in the locks.
